Homer Schott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business at Trinity University, San Antonio, TX and spent 26 years in various jobs with Southwestern Bell. His enthusiasm for evangelism comes from his thankfulness that the Lord was patient to save him at a later age (47 years old). He is especially drawn to serving the families of the poor (Luke 4:18), in and out of the United States. His ministry training and work began at Child Evangelism Fellowship where he served in inner city ministry and teacher training (Gospel and Bible Lesson) for six years. His first love of serving the poor continued as he helped form One Way International (OWI) in 2001. Since 2001, God has led Homer to serve in San Antonio’s inner city and expanded that service overseas to Moldova, India and Nigeria. Other opportunities of serving with OWI have included apartment Bible clubs, school supply provisions for needy students, public school mentoring and working in an after-school program, and food distribution to families in need. Among his favorite responsibilities is the coordination of evangelism and humanitarian events for OWI. Homer has been married to his best friend, Loyette for 29 years and loves to spend time with his grandchildren. Psalm 27:1 is his life’s verse: “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the Stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
