“I just wanted to report on my first official teacher aide day. A few weeks ago I went and met my teacher. Then I toured the school and helped the librarian with the book fair. Today, my teacher had many things for me to run off and then introduced me to the other fifth grade teachers to see if they had anything for me to help with. They were so grateful for me just coming and asking. One teacher did have a lot of work to be run off and she was so appreciative I felt guilty since it was such a joy for me to help.”
