Retiring Comments April 2021

My decision to retire from One Way International was one of the most difficult in my life.  This ministry (especially through Joyce) taught me how to present the Gospel with love, how to teach spiritual lessons and how to love those whose need for Jesus was so great.  I am reminded of Jesus’ words in Luke 4:18—“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.”  OWI certainly was also anointed to serve the poor wherever God led us.  From the inner city of San Antonio, to the Riverside Apartments, to the countries of Moldova and Nigeria, to the SAMM Shelter, Kerrybrook Apartments, and Colonial Hills Elementery (and many other places), OWI (actually God) placed me in zones of wonderful discomfort and the rewards have been great.  How I will miss the adults, teens, and children served by OWI and how I will miss the board, staff, and faithful volunteers who encouraged me through our ministry work.  I am also so grateful to those who supported me with faithful prayer and support.  Please continue to support this wonderful ministry in prayer and financial support and please continue to pray for me as I learn what God has planned for my remaining years.  Thank you so much for helping me endure over the years.  I leave you with Numbers 6:24 & 25:  “The Lord bless and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
